An exhibition of Apex Zero’s new multi-layered visual album ‘Drummer Warrior Storyteller’, exploring personal experiences of oppression and liberation of African and Caribbean people in London, on the 230th anniversary of the start of the Haitian Revolution.
The event will include a film screening, painting created through the filming process, photography by Ekua McMorris, live painting by Dora Lam and a Q&A/discussion with the artists involved. The night will end with live performances from Apex Zero and collaborators who feature on the album, including Isatta Sheriff, Big Cakes, Raquel, Ukombozii Ancestral Drums and music from DJ Steaz.
