Somewhere around the start of the year, Village Live cryptically posted on fb that a Manchester MC had sent them a dope, completely finished, mixed and mastered LP and they had immediately signed him. It’s telling that despite Pique Roscoe‘s underground underdog standing, a bunch of people in the comments immediately guessed it was blatantly his. The guy has put out consistent fire since he emerged and deserves any shine that’s coming to him. ‘Nephthys’ produced by UK Boom Bap threat Kuartz is yet another example that he isn’t playing.
The aforementioned debut album, The Cruel Tutelage of Pique Roscoe, drops on the 20th of December and is available to pre-order on vinyl HERE.
