Representing an evolution of his craft and sound, Skatta‘s new video ‘Follow The Sun’ whets listeners’ appetite ahead of his Cinema Ticket album which features Oddissee and Klashnekoff. Working with the French label Broc Recordz, ‘Follow The Sun’, produced by Dipiz provides uplifting melodic vibes with an aspirational and progressive message urging listeners to “Follow The Sun and you can run with me”. Speaking around the meaning behind the solar theme, the Coventry born artist explains… “The sun represents the opportunity and the storm represents the obstacles I’ve faced in my career. The sun brings positivity to my day i always feel refreshed when the sun is shining on me but not everyday is a sunny day! So beware of the storms… that’s why I wear yellow in the video as I am the sun and want people follow my message”. Containing a sample of the 1968 song ‘Summer lovers’ by the acclaimed composer Janko Nilovic (whose music has been sampled by Dr Dre amongst many others), the song follows Record Box, in the lead up to the December 3 release of his debut album on the French record label Broc Recordz. |
