Always sick to see new-gen acts keeping old school styles alive. P Nut has been about that for a minute (last year’s debut album CBT: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy features a unique blend of rhythmic elements drawn from trap/drill mixed with Golden-Era-esque jazzy sampling and lyricism to match). Latest offering with System Olympia on the beat though, takes retro waaay further. ‘Falling In Love’ sounds like rap that my Mum would listen to. But I dig it.
