youngdumblovers – slow60
youngdumblovers announce ‘slow60’ their sixth release of 2021 so far.
The art and the subject material all explore the inner workings of the mind, the places we go to when we’re caged in our own domains, our own towns, our own homes. Think dark production, downbeat vocals and warm acoustic flourishes, all packaged up in the bleak aesthetic of South East England in wintertime. YDL celebrate life in the burbs and the push and pull of it, the feeling of being both suffocated and inspired by the environment that surrounds you. The dreams and regrets. They’re a multi-instrumental, multi-creative collective dancing on the dark aesthetic of suburbia.
youngdumblovers – tide me over
Ultra-mellow vibes courtesy of youngdumblovers. All we know about the outfit at this point is that it’s got Ed Scissor and some mystery associates of his in it. Taking a stab in the dark, ‘tide me over’ definitely sounds like it could have Greenwood Sharps fingerprints on the production but we’ll have to wait for the grand reveal to find out if that’s on the money. Hopefully there’s an album on the way.
