Scunthorpe’s XL (most difficult UK rapper to efficiently google or find on youtube) has thrown UKHH an exclusive video for new track ‘Verbal Assault’. While he’s gained a rep for effortlessly bouncing between genres including grime, dubstep and dnb, he’s planted his feet firmly in hip-hop territory for this one.
XL’s rounded up some serious talent to go in on his latest banger. ‘Verbal Assault’ comes complete with some pounding, funky beatsmanship from producer Sinima and heavy scratches courtesy of Jabbathakut. Providing ample flow talent, XL reunites with Nottingham’s Scorzayzee. (Check out Altered Perspective which dropped in December to hear the two getting reflective on more of a chilled tip.)
Verbal Assault is available to download for whatever price you like from https://therealxlmusic.bandcamp.com/ along with a bunch more of XL’s music that is well worth a check. Scorzayzee’s been busy as ever lately as well. Check out the Illa Scorz EP which also dropped at the start of this week.
