This is the sort of shit that has you looking out of the passenger seat of a car window on an overcast day thinking about your life. Actually, I’d place bets that that’s how Frankie Stew writes this stuff. Stew is consistent with his straight-forward, reflective lyricism that harks to Mike Skinner’s manner of story telling, pairing perfectly with the delicacy of Harvey Gunn’s production. ‘Black Water’ is taken from The Lakes, released yesterday. Delve in.
